Establishing a free, independent, vital and comprehensive media is essential basis of democracy. The diversity of anindependent media is something important to a country seeking for a transition and transformation to democracy, as the media plays big role in democratic development.

Democracy offers mechanisms and institutions that are able to achieve a real and sustainable development. And it enables citizens to upgrade their knowledge and skills and develop their abilities. The more forwarder humanitarian- dimension development steps, the more stability in the Community and democratic experience happens.

So as to build overall democratic and good governance and to achieve the goals of development and progress in the political, economic and social field, Freedom Foundationfor media freedom, rights and development is working to support freedom of media and freedom of expression and to promote freedom of access to information . The development precisely means freedom.

Through its comprehensive program, Freedom Foundationfor media freedom, rights and development  is working on improving democracy and supporting democratic development through working with all similar organizations and coordinating with many local, regional and international institutions in order to stimulate community participation in public affairs.

Due to that ,there is no democracy without freedom of choice and without political pluralism and diversity in political visions and ideas. There is no democracy without free political dialogue between the parties of different views.

Democracy allows managing political affairs, because it provides the mechanisms that organize political life on the basis of the authority of law, separation of powers, peaceful power, decentralization of authority, the independence of the judiciary and free and fair elections.

Expanding the participation of the public in the decision-making process and in studying policies carefully through public discussion, exchange of ideas and expression, would surely lead to easy access to the information and transparency that enables the public to highlight the shortcomings and the poor performance of government agencies and expose abuses and manage to fight corruption, which Freedom Foundation is seeking to be achieved on the ground through the media freedom and development and through promoting democratic values.
