Freedom Foundation Concludes an Advanced training in Vocal Skills for Broadcasters from 10 TV Channels.

Freedom Foundation for media freedom, rights and development concluded today the advanced training course on

 (Vocal Skills for Broadcasters) for 22 broadcasters and presenters from 10 state-owned and private TV stations and Sana'a radio, which lasted for 5 days and carried out in collaboration with the European Union mission in Yemen.

This intensive training course is delivered by the professional trainer in the field of vocal skills for presenters at the Aljazeera TV network and Aljazeera media training center in Doha, Qatar Mr. Salem Hussein al-Jahwashi.

Regional Network (SANAD) and Freedom Foundation Organize training on (Monitoring and Documentation of Media Violations)

Sana'a (29 June 2013):
A specialized workshop training under the title (monitoring and documentation anti-media violations) is

started today in Sana’a, in which organized by the Centre for Defending Freedom of Journalists in Jordan (CDFJ), that runs the regional network (SANAD), in cooperation and partnership with Freedom Foundation for media freedom, rights and development in Yemen.
The president of the Center for Defending Freedom of Journalists Nidal Mansour said, "This workshop is the fourth of its kind organized by the Center in the works context of the network for media freedom defenders in the Arab World (SANAD), which is a regional network is aiming to reduce media violations".

Freedom Foundation concludes Video Editing Training for 30 Students of Journalism in partnership with Canada Fund

 The Freedom Foundation for media freedom  and development concludes on Monday, May 27, 2013 its Video Editing Training Course,

which targeted students from the colleges of Mass Communication in Sana’a universities, and  from NGOs organizations. 
This course, which lasted for three days, came in the framework of the foundation's Advancing Media Training Project, organized by Freedom Foundation in partnership with Canada Fund for Local Initiatives. This course was delivered by two professional trainers: Mr. Owais al-Shaibani, the executive director of Action Media Company, and  Editing Technician Mr. Abdul-Rahman Hamza.

FF concludes photojournalism training course for 40 participants in partnership with Canada Fund


Sana’a  (Monday, 8 April 2013):


 

Freedom Foundation for media freedom, rights and development concluded today (Monday) a training course in photojournalism,
 for about 40 participants of photojournalists from public and independent newspapers as well as from students  of journalism faculties of Sana’a University and University of Science and Technology.

 At the end of this training course, which lasted for three days, certificates were given to the participants after reviewing photos taken by participants in the practical part of the course in accordance with professional and technical rules and standards of photojournalism, as a practice for theoretical training and information the trainees received about photojournalism.

Freedom Foundation for media freedom, rights and development concluded on Thursday a training course on (Monitoring and Advocacy) organized by the
Freedom Foundation in Sana’a over three days, in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union in Yemen, and conducted by the international expert and trainer, Susanna Inkinen, who has supervised the formation of several units of monitoring and advocacy in many countries. 
This training course was attended by 27 participants of journalists from the capital Sana'a and other 17 governorates. This training course included training on many practical skills and discussions of the risks faced by the Yemeni Journalists and establish practical steps to overcome them with taking advantage of experiences of other countries similar to media freedom situation in Yemen.

Freedom Foundation for media freedom, rights and development launched today the project of (Media Freedom: Monitoring and Advocacy) in the capital Sana’a, which lasts two years, with the funding of the European Union mission in Yemen.
At the inauguration ceremony, the President of Freedom Foundation, the journalist, Khaled al-Hammadi described the project and said "the goal of project is to monitor and document violations, provide legal support and advocacy to journalists and support media freedom professionally and legally". He explained that the project includes 7 training courses in the field of monitoring and documentation of media violations, and advocacy, in the field of professional safety, as well as in the field of media development.

Freedom Foundation (FF) for media freedom, rights and development concluded advanced training course (TV Professional reporter) with great success, which organized by the Foundation in collaboration with the public affairs section of the U.S. embassy in Sana'a. The course lasted two weeks for 29 TV reporters from 8 public and private TV channels.

The head of the FF, Khaled al-Hammadi said this training course was held with high quality standards and it included the vocabulary theory and work practice. "It devoted the greater part for the work practice, where it was full of operative exercises and field practices, which FF made sure to raise the professional level of the Yemeni reporters to the professional level and in accordance with international standards," he said.

Freedom Foundation launches the course of (professional TV reporter) in Sana'a

 

 Sana'a, November 24, 2012:


The Freedom Foundation (FF) for media freedom, rights and development launched on Saturday in Sana'a the course of (TV professional reporter) organized by the foundation for twenty television correspondent from 8 Yemeni government and private satellite TV channels. 

The Foundation organized this two-week course in partnership and cooperation with the media and cultural attaché of U.S. Embassy in Sana'a, which is the third training course held by FF under its media development, in order to enhance the professionalism of media and improving media performance.

At the opening ceremony, chairman of Freedom Foundation, journalist Khaled al-Hammadi said that this course is a quality and great efforts have been taken for its implementation.

Al-Hammadi noted that the training curriculum in this course based by training standards of British BBC radio and television and AlJazeera Centre for Training and Media Development, as well as there were searching for qualified instructors and experts from outside Yemen for the sake of the foundation to benefit from the international experience, including media expert, Dr. Mohammad Kamal Sultan, as well as Al-Jazeera correspondent in New York, journalist Murad Hashim.

The trainees are from twenty state-owned and private newspapers and from different governorates of Yemen.

The Freedom Foundation organized this training course, which lasts three days, in collaboration with the Germanic Organization, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), in the first of their partnership in the development of media work in Yemen, of which the trainer are regional and veteran journalist, Bassam Al-Badarin, Director of office of London newspaper (Al Quds Al-Arabi) in Jordan .
